Heavy Duty Altenator:

By virtue of UNIPOWER'S ability to produce up to 200 amperes of fully regulated charging current, the user benefits from the following additional facilities:

Improved winching performance:

For longer winching periods prior to requiring battery re-charging

Longer battery life:

By virtue of the higher potential charge rate, UNIPOWER is able to decrease excessively deep cycling - which tends to shorten battery life. Also the Unipower charging system reduces the amperage as the voltage starts to climb, thus minimising plate overheat caused by conventional boost charging of batteries

Improved performance for 12 volt accessories:

Equipment powered by the 12 volt battery system will run longer with the UNIPOWER due to it's greater alternator output capability. (Fridges, T.V.'s, Spotlights, Hi-Fi systems, etc.) .

185-300 amperes d.c. Welder:

With 100 % duty cycle capabilities, it will assist in:

WELDING onto trailers to repair Springs, Axles, Canopies, Tow Bars, etc.,

NB: The Standard UNIPOWER will weld an 8 Gauge rod (3.25 mm) comfortably and has reverse polarity facilities, aluminum and specialised rod facility, it can also be used for gouging, as well as MIG and TIG work.

Boost charging and assist starting

UNIPOWER'S powerful, but fully regulated, charge current for 12 volt or 24 volt systems, will allow the user:

To boost charge your own batteries in an emergency,
To boost charge and assist start someone else's vehicle,
To boost charge your solar battery banks,
To boost charge your boat batteries.

UNIPOWER'S unique boost charge system will not damage plates due to over-heating and only requires 3 - 5 minutes of boost charging for an average battery to be at least 75% charged.

The UNIPOWER electronic regulator is located in the control module and not in the alternator. This prevents submersion and subsequent failure of the regulator when ''fording'' rivers.
